Your Licensed PDF
Local verification: Guidex opens and checks the PDF you
select inside your browser. Guidex does not upload your PDF or its extracted
text to its servers. It sends only the verification result, match statistics,
and cryptographic challenge answers needed to record the check.
Local copy: After a successful check, the browser may keep
your copy in IndexedDB on that device so you can open cited pages. A new
project, a different device, clearing site data, or removing the local copy
may require another check. Merely closing the browser does not normally
remove it.
AI Processing & Guidex Storage
What the model receives: Answers use Guidex's configured
reference corpus, not text taken from your locally checked PDF. A request can
include the full text of each selected standard, selected project briefs,
plan descriptions and uploaded-document text, recent chat history, and your question.
This content is sent to our AI inference provider, Fireworks AI, to generate
the response.
Provider handling: Fireworks AI states that prompts and
generations for open-model inference are not written to persistent storage
unless a customer explicitly opts in. It may hold request data and prompt
caches in volatile memory while processing and for a short period afterwards,
and it retains service metadata such as token counts. The Guidex integration
does not request prompt or generation logging. See Fireworks AI's
published data-handling policy.
No model training: Fireworks AI states that it does not
use inference inputs or outputs to train models without explicit opt-in.
The Guidex integration does not request training or fine-tuning with your data.
What Guidex keeps: Project records and chat history are
stored by Guidex so they remain available in your workspace. Uploaded project
files and extracted document text are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted
to authenticated users within the applicable project and organisation rules.
Licence & Access Boundaries
Source access: When licensed-copy verification is enabled,
Guidex blocks browsers from downloading its configured copies of fingerprint-
gated proprietary standards. Public or otherwise ungated source documents may
still be served by Guidex.
DRM: If your copy is protected by DRM that the browser
cannot read, Guidex refuses the automated verification rather than attempting
to bypass that protection.
Your responsibility: By continuing, you confirm that you
or your employer are authorised to use the selected document. You remain
responsible for complying with the terms of the licence under which you
obtained it.
